MAKE TESTS 4 DAYS ;BALL CHANGE AFTER 40-50 OVERS..
by damodaran mohan on Aug 24, 2015 06:32 PM

How long cricket administrators are going to live in denial that Test cricket is dying a slow death ? Hardly 10-20% of Test matches extend to the 5th day !Why ? Because in this age of T20 cricket batsmen have lost the mental make up to play with patience the copy book cricket to stay on the pitch for long. Moreover after 40-50 overs the ball becomes softer and the batters or bowlers both do not enjoy the game and boredom sets in.They find it difficult to keep interest in the game and start playing loose shots. It is surprising that while ICC keeps reviewing rules of shorter version of games to make it more interesting but when it comes to Test cricket it is continuing with century old rules! That is why Test cricket rules too need some tweaking. Like reducing duration to 4 days, taking new ball after 40-50 overs instead of after 80 overs.Even field placement rules can be reviewed to make Tests more interesting to watch .

Australia Winning the last test after losing 3rd & 4th tests easily?

Looks like a Well Fixed Result to keep their Heads high and End on a Positive note for Michael Clarke, Chris Rogres, Brad Haddin, Shane Watson and other Oldies in this Ageing Australian team.

Absolutely. How come Eng won 3rd and 4th so easily despite sound thrashing earlier? Your doubt is valid.

Both of you are idiots who have no knowledge and understanding of cricket , especially Test cricket !!!! Test cricket is beyond your comprehension and of all those who have never played cricket at a certain level.
