1) Dhoni was never a good test match batsman. 2) So, naturally his record in tests was nothing to cheer about. 3) He, himself knows this very well so he rightly got retired from tests. 4) But till last year or so, he was exceptionally good ODI batsman, in-fact, till A.B. Diviliers came to limelight, Dhoni was the most accomplished ODI middle order batsman. 5) He was exceptionally good captain in ODI\'s read carefully, I am saying in ODI\'s not in tests or T-20.Under his captainship we had won almost all major ICC and Imp. tournaments. So, in ODI\'s we can definitely say that he was best. 6) He is not so good captain and player as well in tests and T-20\'s. 7) He was never a technically sound batsman and had the most unconventional shots, that style of cricket made him successful in subcontinent but not overseas. Whenever India played abroad his batting was exposed big way. 8) When he was new, he was highly attacking batsman, but he changed his attacking style suddenly and became more watchful, that was more suited in ODI\'s since, already there used to be good partnership at the top and by the time he comes to bat the run rate was healthy so that he could take his own time and then start hitting at the death. So, he became more successful in ODI\'s

but failed in T-20's as in T-20's you require hitting right from the word go. Which was proving to be difficult for him, if you see his recent performances you must have seen him struggling to hit big shots and increase the run rate especially in T-20 and ODI's at death overs. 9) Though I agree that he is the most successful captain in ODI's , you have to accept the fact that in more than 75% of wins there was significant contribution from other players mainly YUVRAJ, GAMBHIR, RAINA, SEHWAG, KOHALI etc. were significant. 10) If you analyse 2010 world-cup, Dhoni's contribution was only limited to the last final game, in which he promoted himself up the order and score 90 something runs. We won that world cup mainly because of one man YUVRAJ SINGH, he played like champion with bat and ball and took India to the final, but in final when Gambhir made the gutsy 95 and got out, when everything was set, Dhoni promoted himself up in the order, denying YUVRAJ who was in excellent form, and score the innings by becoming hero in everyone's eyes , the real contributor and architect of world cup was Yuvraj, but Dhoni projected himself as the saviour. 11) In recent years Dhoni did politics in selection process when he insisted his Chennai super Kings favourite players Jadeja , Raina, Mohit Sharma etc. who were constantly out of form, rather than choosing in-form players. His decisions as a captain which he has been praised by everybody, that same decisions back-fired, his field placeme

his bowling changes, his batting order shuffling, his controversial team selection was all backfired and we started losing the games and Dhoni started feeling heat.

His fans need reasons to go high on MSD, let India win one match and they will jump saying Kohli got Dhonis team. Of course, this miraculously wont be seen when India loses, just like we saw a couple of days ago.
