I am not at all in agreement with this view of \'Fast bowling in this generation is good\" I rather believe that the standard of fast bowling in recent times is fairy average. I do not think Broad would have played for England in 70\'s or \'80s. Where are the genuine fast bowlers like Marshall, Holding, Roberts or Imran Khan? I have lot of doubts on the technical abilities of recent time batsmen. Due to continuous focus on the limited over version of the game, these batsmen are not having the proper technique of playing genuine quick\'s. One can remember how Sunny Gavaskar used to handle Imran, Marshall or Roberts with out even a helmet.
It is not only age. See the number of matches a cricketer plays in a very short time as compared t old timers. If they don't retire they will be replaced by constantly coming new players or if not replaced they will die of heart attack
Many says that the reason for Sachin's records is his longivity. But the truth is for playing such a long time starting early is not enough. To keep going on and on one should have great mental and physical strength.
