Test loss
by srirama chandra rao on Aug 17, 2015 01:41 PM

It is mainly due to brave innings of Chandimal who has given enough scores to srilanka in the second innings and batting collapse of India in the second innings are the root causes for India losing the test. IN the first innings too excepting Kohli,Dhawan and Saha others failed in the batting .because of those two centuries India could pile up runs in the first innings

Individual rankings up
by srirama chandra rao on Aug 17, 2015 01:40 PM  | Hide replies

Due to team failure India lost as a team not individuals. Kohli and Dhawan batted well and Ashwin bowled well and that is the reason Kohli has maintained his rank while Dhawan and Ashwni improved their rankings where as other failed like Rohit,Rahane(first innings zero) and all are relatively new to the Indian test cricket Amit, Harbajan are playing after few years. they are not in the scheme of things for ranking calculation. If kumar is there he too would have improved his ranking

100% right Rao. Wonder why Aaron was selected ahead of Bhuvi. If I am not mistaken Bhuvi had a good performance even in the practice game.

shameless/irresponsible batsmen
by ASHKO KUMAR DHANUKA on Aug 17, 2015 10:45 AM

All the 5 batsmen who could not score 176 to win a test must be thrown out of the team.what better oppertunity can we expect///Certainly the loss was due to irresponsible batting by all 5.They have to pay price for it if at all our BCCI managers are truely professionals...

Hindustani
Shastri and Kohli
by Hindustani on Aug 16, 2015 08:18 PM

Now it is clear that Ravi Shastri as a coach, mentor, care-taker or whatever he may call himself, is a complete failure, a flop show.
It's high time now that we should find some good coach like Gary Kirsten, otherwise we will get whitewashed by South Africa when we will play them in October.
And for Virat Kohli, captaining Indian national team is not like captaining Delhi domestic side or under-19 side. Only swearing, bad words, staring with wide eyes & doing theatrics for camera is not going to help, you need to be smart in your bowling changes, fielding placements, batting order, attacking batting at the right time, reading the situation of the game & acting accordingly etc., only aggressiveness with mouth and eyes won't win you matches, show the smartness instead by your actions.
