Its our tradition to keep old useless people who have one leg in grave on strategic and important posts which demands healthy and active individual like President, Ministers, advisers, secretary, heads of imp committees. After 4 yrs what would be their age. In India it doesn't matter. Look at Australians for the same reason they have young team.

The present team of youngsters may not be available in full at the end of 4 years, but some of them would have matured and would lend weight to the team at that time. But it must be remembered that this team lost to the eventual winners, whose methods of psyching us with their sledging and bullying have been tolerated by those who should control them. But that is their nature and we should train our team to face such nonsense and not succumb to it. Shastri has done a magnificent job and should continue as mentor. If however he decides to move on then only Ganguly should take over - no one else, especially one person who couldn't handle the Captaincy!!
like Kohli, Rahane,Shami,Aksar and Bhuvi. We may see new faces in the next world cup Indian Team like Unmuk Chand, Sunny Samson, Baba Aparajit,Sarfraz Khan,Mannan Vohra, Rishi Dhawan,Karun Nair, Shreyas Gopal and many other talent players.
If sentiments were the problem, we had to pursue with 1983 Indian team or with 2011 winning team.
If a particular set of 11 players cannot win a crucial match like a Semi Final Knockout, we don't even need them no matter how good they were after winning against weaker oppositions in league matches.
In that case Australia should have persisted with 2007 champion team.
Indians never learn from past mistakes - That is our main drawback.
Take M S Dhoni out of this team-the team looks extremely vulnerable in batting.Our quick bowlers excel in patches.After bowling at 145 kmph in Australia, they will come back to India on flat tracks and again resort to slower deliveries etc.Virat Kohli, Raina, Jadeja will flourish on wickets which have neither pace nor bounce.Moreover, the weather in most parts of India does not enable swing.But once they go to England, they will be flumoxed by the wickets which will seam and swing .
we won 7 matches due to weak opposiition and luck. luck bcoz we won toss against pak and SA. the moment we lost toss, we were exposed. kohli,jadeja,rahane,mohit are proven failures

aussies we won 7 matches due to weak opposiition and luck. luck bcoz they won toss against india. aussies are just tigers at home and lambs abroad...they won all their matches in australia...the match they had to play away in nz and against nz they were exposed... all aussies players are proven failures......
australia are the most deserving team to win this wc as it was held in australia...and they have a good reputation of being tigers at home and lambs abroad...they sure lived upto their reputation...
of course luck and weak opposition played a huge part....luck bcoz they won toss against good opposition like india...
aus won all home matches in this wc and lost away match against nz in nz...
india played 8 away matches in this wc winning 7 of them...
