While teams like KKR,CSK,MI .... are by now proven sides and are certainly top claimants for the title of the 8th edition however it will be interesting to see to the extent teams like RCB,RR and DD improve their performances with the changes. Can RCB finally lift the eluding trophy for the first time ? Perhaps it will depend upon if other than 'big' players rest get paid their dues and morale are high ! Starc, the man of the series of WC2015 joining late does give rise to suspicion about payment hassels. Next big thing that could happen has to be with RR. With many Aussie match winners of the just concluded WC in the side the team must be playing with a new level of confidence doing away with the perennial underdogs tag. Unless it under performs there is no reason why it cannot make it to last four comfortably with so many talented all-rounders ! The 3 rd side which has to come up with lot of hope to make it to the last four has to be the DD with a new look bowling attack of pace and spin that looks quite refreshing and formidable. Perhaps DD's progress will to large extent will depend upon how their batters perform right from match no1.More consistency is expected from likes of Manoj Tiwray,Q'd'cock etc. If DD could ensure they don't lose the initial half a dozen matches then they too stand a chance. However if they lose initial games and advantage they may find it difficult to make it up later the way sides like KKR,CSK etc. manage.
