Hr was NOT a BORE. Were You Big enough to watch his play on TV when you were young . Otherwise you are wrong in making your comments. We were fortunate enough to watch this ONE EYED - repeat one eyed cricketer in action in our childhood. Do You know that he had only one eye ( working eye ) ?????

I assumed that you were young b'cos I felt that you may not have actually watched Pataudi Playing. I TOO made a TYPO mistake. There was no TV at that time. WE could only follow matches on Radio commentary . But I have watched Pataudi in live action atleast on 3 or 4 occasions. Pataudi had hit a SIX into the gallery ( at FACT ground at Udyogmandal , near Kochi )and it had a straight hit on a young girl's cheek ( Like the recent Gilchrist incident ) Unmindfull of the red swollen cheek she had come to watch the game the next day TOO, gleefully posing for photographs for everyone. The photo got splashed in all Newspapers the next day.
It was sometime in 2001 I had watched anil kamath and keubord vij and drummer ashok combnation on hosur road full of vishnu songs beautifull evening.Sadly today taperecord ochestra is nothing but drama.anyway MR anil expired and nobody ventured into meaningfull orchestra. The name of the was sangeeth sangam
MAY I tell you my personal experience regarding M.A.K. Pataudi ( By that time our P.M. Indira Gandhi had stripped all Nawabs of their TITLES. ) They were simply HUMAN beings like anyone else. But his autobiography cost just Rs 3/- Very recently I saw somebody's biography being sold for Rs 630/- or so. Rupa publishers had offered one free book of Rs 3/- for every Rs 10/- worth of books ordered. I went to a rich uncle of mine and asked him to order Rs 10 worth of books, so that I would get the FREE " TIGER's TALE " for myself . My uncle immediately agreed and gave me Rs 10/- I remitted it by M.O and got all the books including Tiger's Tale. I gave all the books ordered by my uncle and took the FREE book for myself. I don't remember the year. I was in School. It may have been 1965 to 1970 or so !
