It is this self realisation which if earlier done at his prime(then called introspection)which could have made a very good career an emphatic one.Though not good at the moment,he could still give some more memorable highs for the team if selected and he will have to do us proud if played, with all his experience.Best of Luck.

Better to take retirement immediately. Whether you are in Team or not in the Team , It doesnt make any difference whether you are in team or Not.

AN Subramanian
should make it, if he can, by present form
by AN Subramanian on Oct 30, 2014 01:35 PM

all the best to yuvi to make it to the indian team based on his present fitness and form.
his comeback after his illness was heroic but perhaps a bit too early- as a result he could not sustain it.
he has the necessary talent, experience, hunger and needs a little bit of luck to make a comeback.

Need not get too sentimental....
by SR Hari on Oct 30, 2014 12:40 PM

While I agree Yuvi was one of the most destructive players during his days, he or Viru or Bhajji should not get too sentimental.. Tilakaratne Dilshan was such a great player for SL... now he isn't getting selected.... he need not worry..... lets move on and allow the faster, younger legs take over.... Playing for the country is always a pride..... but when you cross your prime time, you have to concede and allow things to happen rather than getting senti....

Thank you Yuvi for the excellent entertainment you gave for over a decade.... we will never forget that match in Lord's where you and Kaif got us a famous victory and that allowed all of see Saurav without a shirt.... !!!!!

Mind your language Rediff.....
by SR Hari on Oct 30, 2014 12:11 PM

Rediff, getting tired of your English...

For example

You think it is

Star of India's many a victories, Yuvraj said..... ?

Or

Star of India's many a victory, Yuvraj said..... ?

Can't you take care of such basic grammar while writing posts?

lets not get emotional..
by Dhantannan on Oct 30, 2014 11:58 AM

yuvi is in poor form.
plus he is not at all fit.
the same applies to veeru and zaheer too.
these were our super stars in past but WC 2015 should be selected on fitness and form only.
