While Ponting's most of the observations are indeed valid but the new rules have introduced a great degree of uncertainties making predictions very hazardous. So, Ind-Aus final or the Kiwis being dark horses are more of a wishful thinking given the ‘leveling’ the new rules have achieved between a no.1 and a no 8 side ! We just watched in horror how the WI outplayed India at Kochi and the just reversal in the next match at Delhi!Although the usual potential in the opening batting & bowling and pattern of the death overs ‘yorkers’ continue to be decisive alright but the major shift due to the new rules has been the course of the “middle overs” dictating the end result to a great extent. That is to say whosoever takes control of and outsmarts the opposition in the middle overs is more likely to emerge as the winner ! For batting side keep the wickets till the 40th overs and go all out ‘bag-bang’ in the last 7-10 overs. For the bowling side even if you have conceded a ‘flying’ start to the opponent, no matter but ‘stifle’ them in the middle order or still better get as many wickets , the match turns in favour of the bowling side. That is why a very potent ‘spin’ cum ‘slow’ bowling combo is going to be a very deadly weapon and its success or failure could make or mar the match. As far as India is concerned may be after the SL series we will be in a better position to assess and
upsulutly he want indians to undermine the worldcup and pre estimate will effect indian player dont belive westernors and play your strngth..defeat aussis badly

Austrlia have won 4 World Cups so far in ODI's. Indians took 28 years to win their 2nd World Cup after 1983. It will be at least 50 more years, before India can match Australia's count in winning World Cup.
