Absolutely, such wins are hardly reassuring couple of months ahead of WC. Dhoni's statement that "few things are missing" is an understatement. In fact most of the things are missing and only Capt Dhoni could have pulled off this win virtually from jaws of defeat given his deft handling of the bowlers putting to use the resources to its best. One wonders why the same Dhoni looks so different in Tests allowing the game to drift away more often ! Anyway coming to the Indian side it is really worrying that as the dates of WC are approaching the ‘favorites’ tag for India seem to be receding fast. The approach of the openers, Dhawan and Rahaner are hardly reassuring especially Dhawan who seems to be playing across and falling to rash shots more as a rule than exception. As he doesn’t instil much confidence one more opener like Murali Vijay or others could be tried out. Rahane on the other hand has this tendency to get out suddenly to lose shots against run of play. Middle order is yet to stabilize with Virat just getting his first fifty after ages and the side appears too dependent on Raina. Jadeja too needs to hone his batting skills further.Pace bowling, it is encouraging to see Md Shami improving every day and even Umesh Yadav bowled quite disciplined line and length bowling for a change. He should keep it up and join Md Shami in perfecting the “death Overs”.Amit Mishra was simply brilliant and was unlucky along with Jadeja to suffer c

9contd.)..The core of the Indian side more or less needs to be ‘frozen’ and so the team should play mostly unchanged side except for trying out more options for the opening slots and spin duo or trio to try out combo of 2-spinner plus 3- pacers and 3-spinners plus 2-pacers for WC.
There is NO DOUBT that the 2nd ODI was Fixed. At one stage 172 for 2 still 2nd Power play to start. Samuel scoring 5 runs in 36 balls, a great Fixer, AND SUDDENLY ALL RECKLESS SHOTS BY AN INTERNATIONAL PLAYERS LIKE BRAVO- SAMUEL, SAMMY, SIMMONS , ETC... All these players are of IPL and are paid heavily .
It is a reality of Indian cricket. If not this, next. There is no consistency in the players performance and thus in the results. Cricket for India seems just like a gambling. Hundred percent unpredictable game due to players attitude. Players when once in the team, their births become so sure that even they keep on playing in their worst forms for years, selectors will keep on waiting for their U-turn. If the Indian player is playing in one match, he will definitely not play for next ten matches. Indian team is most probably the least consistent team of cricket world. Kohli has played this time and will be out of form for next many matches just like he was already. Players are either selected on recommendations or under pressures as they are so confident about their position in the team that they do not bother to return to form and keep playing irresponsibly. They are neither thrown out of the team. They lost the first match, they could have lost the second and they will lose all the remaining. But still they will not lose anything. They will represent India and keep earning millions of rupees for advertisements. Need is to make the players also accountable. Failures should be deducted with their match fee in every match and strictly after 2-3 failures they should be out of the team. And if total Indian team is not performing well in 1-2 tournaments, team should be banned from playing the international cricket to save humiliation, wastage of time and resources
