Bad idea! Conditions are totally different.

There's no guarantee that, whoever succeeds here would succeed down under. Shikar has proved enough that, he's only a flat track bully and that, he's not suited for the fast, green top pitches abroad. It'd be wise to test Vijay who has better track record abroad. An organised right hander who plays longer and has better temperament is sure a better choice than the leftie who flashes and perishes in a few deliveries. Similarly, Kohli if fails consistently, should not be considered for further selection and should be dropped however classy he's. What to do with his class when it doesn't help him get some runs? Selections must be purely based on merit and not based on the investments made on a certain cricketer. While dropping Ashwin is a step in the right direction, selecting Kuldeep who hardly has any exposure to competitive cricket isn't a great idea either. Why drop Karn Sharma or Parvez rasool without giving them a fair run. While Kohli is allowed to fail forever, why not give these fresh faces too sufficient time to settle down and show their mettle?

None can answer these questions as Indian cricket has become more corrupt, murky dictated by favouritism of vested interests...

bet even if Kozhi fails in the entire series, he'd make it to Australia. Because, form (however long the bad patch is) is temporary and class (LKG) is permanent. At least for the sake of marketing boost, head & shoulders, RC, TVS bikes, he needs to be in the eleven consistently.
