You are right. "Killed" cannot be used for such incident. "Succumbed to injury" or "died of injury" would be proper

That should be fine n safe enough. Or maybe the American Football/ Baseball Associations have signed a secret treaty to Americanise Indian Sports & this is a way to get it done (same way as they had bought about the Asian Sanctions by putting Swine, Bovine, Chicken etc. flu viruses for their companies to prosper through biological warfare?)
What actually transpired between Obama & Modi in the visits, nobody will ever know. & no question of RTI too.
