Hats off to India's Gavaskars' & Vishwanaths' of 1970's who faced world's fastest bowling battery of West Indies & Australia without any protective gear and without having a single fast bowler of world standard at that time from India. I wonder how these 2 little masters developed their technique when there was not a single fast bowler to bowl at them in the nets and they did not had a single injury in their whole carrier. Further the credit goes more to our little masters because that time there was no restriction on no. of bouncers to be bowled in one over. In spite of all the modern gadgets available today one has to develop technique over the years to face these bouncers successfully.

1. Both were short. So they could avoid a bouncer easily.

2. The had good technique. They always watched the ball till it reached the gloves of the wicketkeeper.

3. They had immense patience and were not in a hurry associated with modern cricket to score runs.
