except for a very rare occasion when the ball accidentally leaves the hand, why do we need bouncers ? Bouncers like boxing is aimed at physically harming the other in the game and there is no gamesmanship in it . It is a violent experession which needs to be stopped. We have enough and more of unwanted violence in this world and we don't want to add it in the field of cricket too which many call as a gentleman's game and gentlemen don't indulge in such things

all "gentle" kids in my neighbourhood keep hitting the ball on to our apratment windows and i nearly missed getting hit by it on many occassions
