This is what Former Fast Bowling Greats cherished
by himamshu on Nov 27, 2014 05:04 PM

Former West Indian, Australian, South African, England, Pakistani and New Zealand Bowlers liked to see - Batsmen getting knocked hard on their heads, arms, shoulders and rib cage.

Chin music is what they call it.

They just like to see B1ood on the pitch.

They Bowl Fast with the new ball only with this intention to unnerve the batsman, intimidate him with sledging, bowling short and pushing him while running, lower his self respect and then get him out.

Hope they are happy now they got another Player permanently out.

Bouncer should be banned
by MM Rahman on Nov 27, 2014 12:08 PM  | Hide replies

In every sport there is little bit of risk factor. But in cricket, if the target is the wicket why should there be a bouncer. Short deliveries should simply be banned. RIP Phil.

With all due respect to Phil Hughes and condolence to his family members; there is some thing called occupational hazard - the short one is one of those - if ur reflex and technique is correct u survive. The ratio of short pitched deliveries to injuries is very very small if injuries are a reason to ban bouncers then what about fielding at silly point, forward shortleg, silly mid-on or even wicket keeper standing up to the spinners?

what has happened is very sad. But,you can ban short deliveries. Should the bowler bowl only under arm?
