Why our system such a long time to settle, we must first bar a person who is a convict, till he is proved clean, unnecessary we go on dragging the issue at people cost.

Issue is much deeper
by dhananjay patil on Nov 25, 2014 11:07 AM

It just un-imaginably difficult to think that we all cheer for BCCI team and not our national team ? Are our cricketer's are liable to BCCI or their country? SC must define this, at one side we accept with great pride that Cricket is religion in this country then how come we allow few individual to be custodian of this religion and use it for their personal benefit? The issue is much more larger, not just about ethics but there is something fundamentally wrong in the way cricket administration is being done in India.

SC too harsh
by Informed on Nov 25, 2014 10:17 AM  | Hide replies

SC is showing undue harshness towards N.Srinivasan. Judges should not get influenced by media trail and apply their mind on the merit of the case. Its ok to express concern on conflict of interest, but supplementing with disproportionate character assassination and inundations are not what SC judges do. Hope these judges limit themselves with judging on the merit of the case than preaching personal opinions.

In my opinion, Hon'ble SC is not harsh but too soft on N. Srinivasan. He should have been dealt with harsh by the Hon'ble SC and asked him to be away from the affairs of Indian Cricket and BCCI.

The SC should have banned the use of word "Board of Cricket Control of India" by anybody other than a Govt organisation. BCCI has degraded the word India and Control. When India is not controlling this Group/Board how can they use it in the name of India?

Delay in delivering judgment is encouraging the guilty.
by Ahi Sen on Nov 25, 2014 10:16 AM

The Hon'ble SC appointed Justice Mudgal Committee Report has been submitted. The Apex court is now expected to give its judgment. Any delay will hamper the interest of the game as leakage of the report is encouraging some of the accused.

It i evident that SC is more corrupt than anyone else. They themselves dont want to respect a commission that they appointed. Shows money flows to judges.....

Mudgal Committee was formed to find out who was involved and it shows that Srini is not directly involved but he didn't act competently to curb betting and fixing. So in any case he is unfit to be president. And additionally, mind my words, additionally the SC is asking how Srini could hold two posts one for conducting a game with fairness and the other for owning the team whose members were involved in betting. Both his roles are contradictory. He can either be a president of BCCI or owner of CSK. And mudgal reports says that Srini was aware of wrong doings but didn't take any action. So on moral grounds he is not fit for the president post. SC is not contradicting Mudgal report. It only asks Srini to understand it completely. In ideal circumstances, Srini should not only opt out of President post but also must dissolve CSK as per IPL rules.

First thing to be done by Honourable Supreme court is to ban this game from India. It has spoiled indian sports, which is crystal clear from our performance at recent Asian games. It is money vending machine for super rich. The people who follow this game have been and will be ditched .Also the indian cricket team does not represent the country as per an affidavit BCCI filed in SC some time back. That is why they were not able to sent a team for asian games. How ridiculous. When WI team cancelled the tour to india, how promptly and quickly they called the Srilankan team for making quick money.I was a hard follower of this game but now the strong critique also.Let us promot Hockey, football, volleyball ,kabadi ,Tennis,Table tennis,Shuttle Badminton, chess and athletics. Say no to cricket

Why cricket should be banned? In fact BCCI should be banned and cricket should be bought under Sports Authority of India. Then cricket will be on par with other sports. If other sports interests viewers more than cricket, people will automatically back them.

Would you cut your head if you have a headache? Instead of cleaning the administration of this sport, you are asking the game that is a passion of billions of indians to be scrapped. If we are to opt the path of escapism, nothing in this country will survive. We must learn to respect and conduct our sports in a transparent and respectful manner.
