Betting is now part and parcel of Sports. Millions of Dollars are spent on Betting on Football, far more in excess of cricket betting.
I do not understand the double standard of the Government. While they allow Horse Racing officially, they go on to ban betting on sports.
Its time we allow legal betting so that the Government earns some revenue. Otherwise Mafia will make more money and use it for subversive activities.
Many countries have regularised betting. It improves Government's revenue.
No law can help if it is intended to curb Man's natural instinct. America has casinos, Betting companies. Although i am not comparing India with them, but Government should think of a long term approach on Betting.
What if some matches are 'FIXED'? If you love cricket just enjoy the way they play. Otherwise just don't bother. If you stop watching IPL then it will die out naturally.

What if some matches are fixed? The support for these fixers is really amazing...we are basically a corrupt nation and all these discussion are merely time Pass. Political parties do not have anything to say on this because every single party is probably party to this. In one aspect you are right...if you don't like this stop watching it. But there are enough scoundrels in this country of billions to still follow this ...
A thorough and non-interfering inquiry has to be done. Punish all those involved by putting them behind the bars for 2-5 years besides penalizing them heavily. This is is very much essential to maintain the sanctity of the game & sports as a whole.
The names of the cricketers who who have found a mention in the above Report should be made public, however, mighty they may be. This is a must so that the Indian cricket is cleansed.
Need to do a swach abhiyan in BCCI and Sharad Pawar is the most able administrator during whose regime India won the world Cup so hopefully we shall again win the cup in australia when Sharad Pawar is heading the BCCI

Please send him in BCCI and let him do corruption there so that common man can live peacefully.
Playersinvolved should be banned for life and owners involved should have their franchisee's shut down. Bring back Lalit Modi.Atleast during his time there was no match fixing.
Srini did not do betting.. His children did not do betting. His wife or father or brother did not do betting. For the misadventure done by his son-in-law, he should not be penalised. Then in that case for son in law Vadra, his mother in law and brother in law should also be taken to task. Unfair attitude..

Did the Son in law get to run Chennai superkings on his own. He got the power and responsibility because he is son in law. Now whose team is that that Srini Team. Srinivasan should be held accountable to what his team does, who else will be accountable other than team owner

So the same yard stick should be used in Vadra's case also. By saying he is a 'private citizen' is only escapism.
