Ranatunga's sweeping statement does not make any sense. These cricketers are playing only cricket round the year all over the world. At fitness training they were not learning hockey or football which made them to forget how to hold bat or bowl!!!!. Wining or losing is part of the game.
What have you done when you were made sports minister? No country was willing to go to Pakistan and play cricket.. teams like India, Newzealand, AUS avoided playing in pakistan with their security agencies advice, but you sent srilankan team to play despite of your security agencies complaint.. why is that?? Did you realise and started feeling for Srilankan team after losing your job ?

These guys will always criticise as they have nothing else to do. They are like gardners. Little bit of politics and little bit of cricket here and there. Nothing is taken or considered serious. When no one wanted to visit Sri Lanka remember Azar brought is team here for some matches. Mike
