No Rayudu in the team for the Australia ?
by Geetha prasad on Nov 11, 2014 01:45 PM  | Hide replies

I feel they should have included Rayudu in the team for Australian tour, as his performance is
quiet encouraging and he is an dependable batsman at no.3.

fully agree with you. without any seniors like Sehwag, Ghambir,Yuvraj,Harbhajan,Ojha etc,in the selected side, humiliation awaits us in Aust.

with seniors we have suffered enough humiliation in aus and eng whitewashes...you want the whitewashes which have stopped because they were dropped to start again by taking them?

Leave out Pujara

Pujara again got the opportunity to score zero thru out the series like he did in past 2 series.

team to Australia

VERY YOUNG TEAM with only Dhoni and Ishant played more than 50 matches. Otherwise most of the players have not played even double digit test matches so far. They should prove good with freshness. Dhoni should guide them in right direction. They are proven players in domestic front so far.All the best to the young team in a tough tour

Youngsters are inexperience because of extended career opportunity provided to senior players like Sachin, Dravid, Laxman and Sehwag in spite of their failures in Tests. These seniors insisted to be in the team for foreign tours but not taken ineterest in playing against smaller Countries and within India. Dhoni is continuing this tradition by keeping youngsters on bench and selecting his own favorites like Ashwin, Jadeja, Murli Vijay etc.

Sanju Samson should have been included in both test and one dayers.

probably after one or two seasons he will find a place in the team after Saha etc., will not be considered after one or two seasons because of their age

Saha was selected because of Bengal Lobby of Dalmiya & Ganguly. It was just a quota system. Naman Oza was definitely better suited but he was considered for only first Test & then return to India.

Manish Pandey is in the form of his life with scores of 135*, 75, 69* and 101* in his last 4 innings for a staggering average 0f 380! looked even better han Rohit Sharma in the SL opening match surprised how he was overlooked by the selectors

I think this is the only Indian Team (Tour Down Under) in Last 20 Years, none of the Player has the Avg of atleast 50.

I am little surprised to know Pujara's Current Avg. He was at 66 some months before.

this is because of recent failures Egland series. Both virat and pujara suffered in that tour with low scores
