Good job

It's good for cricket and its players in a sub-continent nation where the game has suffered so much because of their internal disturbances.

Don't worry

Don't worry or be sad Australia. Team India is coming with its super world class spinners Ashwin and Jadeja along with pacer Ishant and extraordinary opener Dhawan. You can regain your form and maintain World No.1 status.

The team will train you how to get back your lost form, how to build long innings (double or even triple centuries), how to take easy quick wickets and ruin opponents batting order then easily win the match when you are at the brink of facing a defeat.

Our batting is looking good, its not going to be easy for Australia. We might actually escape with a drawn series or a 1-0 loss. Even Raina has learned how to cope with the short ball, that is refreshing. KL Rahul might be selected, he is a world class player. We have to hope for the best.

It's just that a bald opener with a mustache and a fast bowler with long hairs who trouble by hopes.

Superb Victory
by Tameem Saied on Nov 03, 2014 04:11 PM  | Hide replies

Many congrats to Misbah and his boys for thrashing a very strong Australian squad. Misbah proved once more that age is meaningless and class is what counts. How else can a 40 year old equal Viv Richards, that too against Australia? Not even Sachin or Ponting or Gayle could manage the fastest 50 and 100 in the same innings against the worlds best bowling attack. Afridi must now respect Misbah and insist on his inclusiong for the World Cup.
Zulfiqar Babar is a great find, again showing that age is not important for success.
On the whole, a resurgent Pakistan is great for World Cricket. If only the West Indies can learn a lesson from this, the Pakistani team is paid peanuts and yet have shown grit and determination to ruthlessly crush Australia.

Go cry in your khakhi chaddi, loser. Success should be applauded, whether by India or Australia or Pakistan or New Zealand or even Bangladesh.
That is the spirit of true sportsmanship.

We actually saw your sportsmanship comparing misbah with Sir Viv Richards. Sir Richards could thrash any bowler on any kind of pitch. He never had to wait his entire career to get a chance to play on a dead turning pitch in Abu Dhabi and score runs.

By the way, don't always use the term 'khakhi chaddi' as it is never the dress in cricket.

A 100s of players have played 100s of matches on dead pitches. Yet only Misbah matched Viv's record.

I never said Misbah is as good as Viv, I merely praised a 40 year old man's amazing success after a decade of being mocked for being slow. I am appalled that many are being so un-evolved to not praise this effort just because his is from Pakistan.

BTW, on any day of the week, Misbah is a better captain than Viv Richards. Viv is always the number one batsman of all time in my book, way ahead of Sachin or Ponting.

What misbah got was a luck at an age of 40s. Else his fast scoring innings could have much higher. Comparing him with Afridi, there is actually no comparison. Any cricket expert can tell that Afridi stands way ahead in terms of devastating the bowlers.

Good or not good, I am not making any remark on his efforts or record. As a Captain or a batsman, he stands nowhere close to Sir Richards.

it's all about playing in the middle east. That's exactly where pak won so many tournaments in 80's.

They won the World Cup in 1992 in Australia, and the way they are performing as a team, with the giant Irfan likely to run through batting lineups down under, they may repeat the success of 1992 in 2014.

There were no devils in the pitch, Rahul Dravid and Sehwag would score 300 on this pitch.

It was a great display of test cricket where Pakistan won each and every session.

Even India won their World Cup in 1983, in the toughest of seam bowling conditions (England), against the most formidable side of that era (WI) facing the most devastating bowling attack ever. Then WI toured India and played on dead wickets and we all know what they did to Indian side.

Past performance cannot score for a present match. Moreover, this test was more about batting inabilities of Aus on a turning track.

Please note, we had the best Swing Bowlers in a generation, hence we could defeat the might West Indies.
Pure pace is useless in England, seam and cut is essential.
In Australian conditions, IF IRFAN plays, he would be unplayable as he will get every delivery to kick 5 feet off a good length, at 145 kmph. Pakistan can certainly win provided Australia and India play below par. South Africa has the best resources though, however they have always choked. For the Springboks to win, Hashim Amla must score well in every game but even he does not have enough experience in Australia.

Yes, that's exactly the reason why pak won in Aus. They have always had a good fast and swing bowling attack. But they also had good batsmen too to complement their bowlers.

Same way as we defeat them on our pitches.

But put our tail in our hinds once we go to their countries n play them on fast pitches.

Look at the other way round. Australian defeat us on their home pitches but put their tail in their hinds once they come to the sub-continent.
