Bully BCCI

Our relations with WEST INDIES date back to centuries as the name itself suggests it. Many Indian origin players play in the team as well. When someone of Indian Origin does something good or wins some award we all go gaga and even go to the extent of finding their family roots of ten generation. Now when they are in crisis, instead of acting as a big brother to WICB, our own BCCI is acting like a BIG BULLY. Agreed BCCI had to incur losses due to incomplete tour, it is also true that West Indies cricket is in neck deep crisis. This money can always be recovered by playing another short tour. BCCI and ICC should take steps to help WICB settle their internal issues in the better interest of Cricket otherwise, $42 million would definitely kill West Indies cricket, whose popularity in archipelago is already on steady decline.

No point in accusing BCCI. Indian board is at NO fault at all. West Indies board has been chronically apathetic, to its players, which as a result, slipped into a state of ignominy and utter chaos...

Their players retorted pugnaciously with a smack in their(WICB) face. Just becoz, their cricket is in crisis and on the brink of bankruptcy, they can't dishonor their commitments and pull outta of scheduled tours abruptly..

Of course, BCCI may be persuaded to act leniently and help out a fellow board, ward-off their internal crisis, with some sort of financial arrangement like a long-term loan or an aid/relief/package in return for a compensatory tour(s) in the future.

India becoming a superpower and dictating world cricket should be a matter of pride for all of us. We, Indians cannot criticize our own board, for no obvious reason and such action/reaction is least warranted.

Windies players should have respected Indian board and atleast should have ended 5 ODI series. They have let down their country. BCCI should ban these players from playing IPL. Windies players earn maximum from IPL. Even windies board did not handle the matter adequately

BCCI is just showing their enormous clout in world cricket and being a bully..!! I dun think windies r capable enough to even provide adequate compensation to their players , let alone compensating BCCI's $42 million

Blaming BCCI does not solve the problem.. The fact that windies pull out, cost BCCI enormously is an undeniable truth..

People cursing BCCI as a big bully is illogical as well. The Indian Board's dominance nullifies White countries racist overtures and serves to cut their tails off..

Most money is generated from India and hence India wants to have bigger say in world cricket administration, which is fair enough.

Our pent up anger at BCCI for not preparing livelier tracks and thus bringing upon overseas test debacles is a different story altogether..

In any case, how the issue will be resolved moving forward will be a matter of great interest..
