if the match -fixing allegations are true, this equation can definitely not be in a single variable x. it's a multi-variable equation..and other former nz stars like astle, bond etc. need to be investigated too. remember how astle was also among the group (alongwith cairns) which was unceremoniously forced to retire mid-2000 , incidentally a year before icl happened and both grabbed the opportunity.
