Simply incredible! Now it is not just the resurgent trio of Utthappa,Sunil Narain and Shakib but also the big hitting Yusuf Pathan who seems to have woken up from 3 yrs of slumber! With this KKR looks unstoppable the way they chased down 160 runs in under 15 overs to relegate CSK to 3rd place. YP’s fastest fifty is no fluke considering that he had scored the fastest IPL 100 too in the inaugural version against Mumbai.So problem with Pathan appears to be more to do with consistency rather than of potential or skill not to be part of a regular in the Indian side. This brilliant innings at least must help gain enough confidence not just for him but also to the team for the play-offs making them favorites against Punjab at eden gardens. Easily it was the most exciting IPL day of the season taken together with the 1st match of the day when Dhoni’s cameo helped CSK to arrest their losing slide. CSK played much better with improved bowling and fielding performance and look somewhat better placed now to carry the momentum to mandatory two more games to make it to the final. In the first eliminator round in Mumbai they could meet either Mumbai or RR which will be decided in the last match to-day. After the YP innings anything could happen and even MI thrashing RR in 14 overs too doesn’t look all that farfetched. In such a scenario CSK to beat a resurgent MI is really going to be a very difficult task.
There is so many great players we have seen since in IPL since in all 7 seasons, from Gilchrist, gayle, marsh, maxwell to yuvraj, kohli, pandey, but it is Yousuf Pathan who is having both records now for fastest 100 & fastest 50, unfortunately he is not regular member of Indian team.

Because he will miserably fail in international matches since he will not get any lives there besides quality bowling attack!

Check the stats this season, YP's avg & SR is better than sehwag, gayle, ghambir, raina, jadeja, and I believe Dale Styen is quality bowler to whom he took 26 run in one over

Riding on lady luck Yousuf delivered a near impossible thing.But Gauti be careful of your angling bat and don't use U Yadav in the death overs. Piyus and Doeschate are far more economic.
