even if he did , it's not completely a surprise considering it provided something for him to vent out his frustration at..from being a star in the 90s ..to how he was treated by the nz board later, him and astle were forced to retire mid 2000s , and in a year the icl happened..and both grabbed it up and signed up for it..other nz former stars like astle, harris, bond should come under the scanner too

true..also he was one of the most recognizable faces of cricket in the 90s and was popular everywhere.
