Its not the point if the comparison is valid or not. The truth is smartness of Dhoni who has no explaination to offer after loosing in such a pathetic manner that he resorted this tactic knowing very well after this statement focuss will be on the comparison and which will hide the pathetic performance of Dhoni's team as well as save him from questions like why he chose to bat down the order even when there was such a mamooth target to be chased.

Dhoni is proving to be a good politician now that his batting and game has declined and should join the congress party to contest next elections from Ranchi

Glen Maxwell can be compared in the league of naturally gifted free hitting style of stroke players like Gayle, Gilchrist, Jayasuriya, etc.
Sachin is in the different league of typical hardworking and dedicated cricketers like Ponting, Lara, Kallis, Jayawardene, Hayden, etc.

by comparing him to Sachin.. Maxi plays for the team unlike Sachin, the most selfish player in the history of cricket.

Yes. Maxwell has won so many matches for whichever team he plays. Can't remember too many matches where SRT won based on his performance. Maxwell is class apart. He can beat several records but that's not how the Australians play. Not for records..

He is more destructive than Sachin or Sehwag ever were, especially in T20 format. However, in the long run, bowlers will study his weakness and find ways to get him out. So the true test for Maxwell will come in next IPL I feel....
