Over step by SC
by NEELAKANTAN R on Mar 29, 2014 12:39 PM

The observation of SC on the functioning and the President is welcome. But by suggesting the name of Snilgavasker as interim pesident is overaction. If SC wanted they should have appointed Sunigavasker as Interim President. Suggesting some particular name does not show impartiality on the part of SC

raman govindan
new BCCI president
by raman govindan on Mar 29, 2014 11:39 AM

managing an organisation is a different ball game and needs different talents & resources in it's leader than say of it's Chief accounts officer, sales manager or chief of R&D or say legal counsel! even i feel the judicial officers are ill equipped to nominate a business head. they may say at best the action by one is legal or not and pronounce punishment! and mind, they do not execute it!

the others need expertise! expertise and leadership are of two variety. rarely do they combine!

It is good but all are saying it is the need of the hour to see to it that IPL7 does not lose its flavour due to corruption hence replaced by gr8 SG...I lost my faith due to fixing action.... the game itself is losing its charm due to such actions by some corrupt people...

clean guy??
by Sam Alexander on Mar 29, 2014 10:38 AM  | Hide replies

If court thinks Gavaskar is the role model clean guy,it has conveniently forgotten the case of stacked foreign currencies of various nations, totalling to lakhs of rupees, captured from his locker in Mumbai Cricket club a few years ago and the whole thing was hushed up!The president of our country should step in and curb the over judicialism in our nation in many states.

Varadarajan Ravindran
India changes its image again
by Varadarajan Ravindran on Mar 28, 2014 11:57 PM

India has a history of elevating idiots, morons, incompetents and or frauds to highly exalted positions. This is exemplified by the appointments of under-qualified prime ministers like Indira Gandhi and incompetents like Deva Gowda or nominate candidates like the inexperienced Rahul Gandhi. They also put useless non-English speaking people in international forums, ruining our image everywhere. The only face-saving grace was the appointment of Dr. Man Mohan Singh as prime minister (Cambridge and Oxford product) after Mr. Jawaharlal Nehru. Appointment of Gavaskar is the greatest news!
