When Gavasakar faced mighty WI bowlers is a joke!. Infact sobers was the only bowler they had and my knowledge he was not a fearsome fast bowler. Holding, Garner and co was not existing during 1971. To my knowledge Mr. Gavaskar never faced the fearsome during their peak. He avoided to tour WI till 1981 and everybody knows what happend. Handing over admin to him is like giving from Fox to Hyna

Sorry Bose...I am not an admirer of Gavaskar...But he face all fast bowlers at the peak..Let in..in you account Viv Richards must be bad batsman...Since he never faced Michael Holding, Joel Garner and Malcolm Marshall.

Gavaskar actually faced Vanburn Holder, Keith Boyce, Gary Sobers,Lance Gibbs and David Holford in his inagural series in WI in 1971. Later Andy Roberts, Bernard Julien came
1974-75. After that the others like Holding,Garner,Croft,Marshall. Gavaskar faced all these fearsome pacers with lot of guts and success. Hope he will clean up the BCCI, particularly IPL and make it credible again the eyes of the public. All the best Gavaskar

Welcome

Welcome to the 1970s Indian Cricket when Sunny filled the Indian Cricket establishment with Marathi people, his cronies and his brother-in-law!

How a person with little or no administrative qualifications or experience can be the chief of such a big governing body is amazing!

Because Kapil is from rustic, backward Haryana whereas Sunny is from urbane, cosmopolitan Mumbai!
