I wish someone who played more cricket on the field to take over from Srini. It will be a disaster if people like Dalmiya,Shukla or pawar takes over. No politician, no industrialist only cricketer. I like Kapil dev should be the president and Saurav Ganguli, Gavaskar and Dravid as Vice presidents.

I fully agree with Ram, BCCI should not controlled by any industrialist, politician and or any other people who do not know even 'what is LBW.'

They may be icons due to performance on the field. But, all were spineless and speechless on BCCI's authoritarian ways.

This is an administrative and does not really call for being an exponent of the game itself. It is the same as saying that an engineer who diligently maintains a fighter plane would make a very good Air Chief or an accountant would make a very good finance minister.
I feel a retired/serving IAS, who is honest and not influenced by the political leadership, would be the best choice.

So, what?

If Srini 'goes' he will try and get in a puppet/proxy.
If not, what choices do you have? Sharad Pawar, Jagmohan Dalmiya?

With the likes of Arun Jaitely [ex-VP], Rajiv Shukla [VP], Narenrda Modi [Pres, GCA] & Sharad Pawar [Pres-MCA] at helm of affairs, which political party you expect to take up cudgels? It is all in-house!
