WHY NOT BOWL UNDERARM BOWLING MR. DARREL SAMY ?
by damodaran mohan on Mar 25, 2014 05:42 PM

The match played in the backdrop of lot of expectations of the defending champions with a packed batting side making it an exciting tough match it was an anticlimax for sure.Frankly there is nothing much to write about the match except for Bhuvaneshwar Kumar's hypnotic spell and Amit Mishra's yet anothe man of the match performance. The magical swing seemed to have returned which was first seen when he broke into the Indian side for the first time about 2 yrs ago.As far as WI they could have as well given a walk over if the rules had permitted.Darrel samy could have asked his bowlers to bowl underarm bowling instead of putting up such charde.Such games hardly adds to reputation of the gentleman's cricket.

Favourite players are given chance after chance after chance even when they fail, but if some one new is put in the team, if he flops he is kept aside immediately. why isnt the same logive used for all players, after all they are in the time to perform and not to experiment

its simple...after winning the toss give a break to your fixed plan of bowling first and elect to bat....

India's win over West Indies
by mraghunath55@yahoo.com on Mar 24, 2014 11:57 AM  | Hide replies

The match with WI was unnecessarily stretched till the last over. Should net run rate become important India may stand to lose ultimately. Raina or Dhoni must have come at the fall of Kohli's wicket.

It was stretched to make the win look "authentic"!

When matches are fixed, there is an inherent need to make them look authentic!

If India would have won in the 15th or 16th over, it would have given more credence to the fact that the match was fixed!

Absolutely right Raina or Dhoni hould have come in but I guess Yuvraj inclusion in the team had to be justified but what happened, he flunked miserrably.
Take pride in your self and you yourself pack up your bags and go

Our much loved ( once ) youraj seems to be in the team on the compassionate quota...he is well past his playing days and definitely needs an eye test.

India's match against WI was definitely fixed!

Key WI players play in the IPL which is there main source of income these days!

These WI players have been playing badly against India in recent years, especially in the matches played in the subcontinent where fixing is much easier to carry out!

Also, suspect is the dive Australia took after Max well's heroics!

Cricket in the subcontinent has become a Bollywood potboiler but we keep watching it in the hope that the next match won't be fixed!

if any match is fixed ,then it is the problem of the team losing and its fans ..not the winning team ..so get lost.

suraj, what is your problem with fixing? after all it should work both ways does it not? first the SA and NZ series were fixed so that sa and nz should win...so what wrong if these matches are fixed in india's way?

I have no problem with fixing, S V!

I only object to the holier-than-thou attitude and response of the people who refuse to believe these matches are fixed!

In India where corruption rules every aspect of public life, why should it spare Cricket in the subcontinent?!

That is all!

What india? corruption rules every aspect of public life in aus eng sa nz wi sl etc. etc.. etc.... so stop your holier-than-thou attitude and pretend that corruption happens in india or sub continent only...it is a world phenomenon...accept it;...

YUVRAJ
by cedric on Mar 24, 2014 10:53 AM

Hope the selectors and team Management wake up and tell Yuvraj to pack up and go back home.
Retaining him in the team is depriving a deserving cricketer from playing for his country.

come on yuvraj is more senior then dhoni and raina. did u c him yesterday's match. he was saving his wiket to stay not out and iver caucious. He looks sloppy even in the field. I suggest binny bcoz hes a hitter and useful bowler whereas u can;'t expect both from yuvraj. Need to use dhavan very good batsman ,but no ahrm to try rahane as he is useful opening in t20's. Ojha nt in the team agreed !.
