Vijay Mallaya must be ruing his luck. His star horse is proving to be a liability & should be dropped in favor of Rahane. Against a pathetic WI attack he was all at sea. Oh but wait he might just blossom in that fixers tournament called IPL.
Well India won against WI and congrats to the team. I was stuck on thinking as to why the captain gave the bowling attack to Jadeja when Bhuveneshwar Kumar was bowling well.
So India manage to maintain the unbeaten record in both version of WC.Although it was a comprehensive win but thanks to Asia cup debacle and poor show of late very few gave India an outright chance over Pak. However to our pleasant surprise India registered a clinical win with every move of Dhoni tactical or otherwise coming good at every turn of the game. The short break seems to have done good to him because what we saw was the old Dhoni with the Midas touch. His clever shuffling of the bowlers in the first 8-10 overs virtually stifled the Pakistanis and when they lost their captain trying to break the shackles that was where they lost the match. Overall the Bowling considered a weakness delivered and whenever that happens 9 out of 10 times India win. Spinners were brilliant especially Amit Mishra deserving the MOM..Wonder of wonders the openers delivered too giving a good platform for Kohli & Raina to take the side past the finish line comfortably. While Yuvi had an off day but Raina ‘s return to form is a good omen for team India for the current campaign. While Virat Kohli with his usual deftness is going to be main man to steer the Indian ship caught midstream in different situations Raina’s return to form is going to be equally crucial. Against WI ? Golden rule is not to disturb the winning combination. Carry forward the momentum gained but improve fielding. Pakistan ? Later.
Yesterday we won only because of our lethal spin attack as we restricted PAK to an easily chaseable 130 . Same spin attack must continue in remaining matches as sub continient pitches are spin friendly & teams like AUS , ENG , SA NZ & WI are traditionally weak against spin . Seems this WC is ours .

Pakistan have beaten the strongest team in the competition yesterday. They are more likely to win this WC.

I never said anything of Chaina ( though in humanity, India is much better )

Dream on chriag. Pakistan will thrash most sides on any given day. They were lackluster against India but see the way they murdered Australia. So before pronouncing any judgement wait for events to unfold.
