All developments take place after some failures - these are stepping stones for improvements .Infact there is a saying exception prove the rule - yes it is not perfect and we may end with some percentage of errors - after all final decision in marginal cases are made by people .If at leat 0 % cases are corrected over years we will reach higher levels
The present gizmos available for ball tracking, the snicko and the hot-spot are of immense help. To say that they are not 100% reliable and hence should not be used is ridiculous. 95% is better than 50% and in the near future technology will make it close to perfect.
