An X-factor bowler is crucial in any format of the game.Every top team except India having atleast one bowler of that sort.He can be a lightning fast bowler,a mystery spinner an yorker specialist or someone who can reverse swing the old ball whatever it may be.In T20 where difference of 10 runs or a wicket can determine the outcome of a match such a special bowler is indeed an asset.
seems indian cricket will soon be forgotten like other indian sports hockey , football , badminton , etc . this BCCI XI shall remain good to play with minnows like bangladesh , afganistan , ireland only.all future tours should be organised with these teams only and dhoni and BCCI can play all their favourite players
The Rediff report hits the bulls eye when it says that "..India's batting woes continued .." and the observation that "India's inability to finish a close match again came to the fore". But why can’t team India show better intensity and go all out for a comprehensive win the way Pak won by 9 wickets against the Kiwis ? Why is it that every time India gets locked in close encounters ? It looks as though 1s and 2s are not in the dictionary of Dhawan and Rohit ! They are ever looking for 4s and 6s only even w/o trying to settle down! In fact the top 3-4 batters like Dhawan,Rohit,Rahanr etc. seem to lack intensity and make lazy shots. Relatively the later batsmen like Yuvi,Raina,Binny,Jadeja,Ashwin etc. showed better application and intensilty. Why the coach Duncan fletcher ia not able to take corrective actions ? Why not the team have some assistance of successful past ex-Indian coaches like Lalchand Rajput etc.? Problem is the team seem to be lacking Intensity and the management is not able to provide that motivation and the extra surge needed to go past the finish line.Time to shed the tag of “slow starters” and show better intensity to go all out for a comprehensive win.
