In 2009 and 2010 India's performance was below par but in 2012 it was a better overall performance.Won against AFG (a good bowling unit)ENG,PAK and SA.In all matches opposition teams were all out.The only disgrace was against AUS (lost by 9 wkts) which was due to a solitary all round display from Shane Watson who was in red hot form in the tournament. If reached SF we would have a better chance against SL whom India dominated fairly in all formats during that period.
Team India's record after winning the inaugural edition of T20 WC is abysmal. It failed to qualify for SF even once. There is no consistency at all.Compare this with our neighbors. Pakistan won the cup once, were finalists once and twice reached SF and SriLanka were finalist twice and reached Semis twice. This is called consistency, which our team is lacking very badly.

India has the dubious distinction of winning the inaugural T20 WC and then not even making to semis in the next 3 editions. Compare this with our neighbors SL & PAK. SL has made to the finals twice and Semis once, whereas PAK has won once and made it to the finals once and twice it made to the semis, that is called consistency. Whereas ,India's lone win in the inaugural edition looks like a flash in the pan or fluke.

srilanka and pakisthan lost lot of t20 series. both in there homeground and away. how many t20 series india lost? only 1. but india won 2 t20 series against australia. we were able to drow a t20 series in australia... in the last world cup we won most of the games.
