old peoples like sachin dravid lakshman fail is not related to fletcher. this gavaskar is mad fellow to speak whatever he is thinks. gary kristen is lucky that dravid lakshman sachin zagheer in good form when he is coach.
even if gary was our coach we would have still lost 8-0 in aus and eng as our team was in no mental and physical state to play those tours...
take away those two tours and the record is not all that bad...
remember our team in sa and nz only 3 players had previous experience of playing away tours dhoni zaheer and ishant...considering that we lost 1-0 to nz and sa is not all that bad....sa were playing at home with their best team with smith kallis abd and amla having played more tests individually than no. of tests rohit vijay dhawan pujara kohli rahane had played put together...sa even came close to losing one test and we had our moments in nz in both tests...and dont forget even with our so called legends we were whitewashed in nz in 2001 (or was it 2002) under ganguly...so our performance with the team was had hardly played any test abroad was not all that bad...

true...coach & captain are only as good as the players...we did well in sa & nz. Even with sachin, lax & dravid we lost 8-0 in aus & nz...food for thought.
Fletcher just made Top ranking Indian team (Gary Kirsten as coach) to a Mediocre team. Fletcher never played Test cricket in his playing career. Fletcher played only just 6 ODI Intl matches in his entire career.
Who else knows better than RD pre-requisites for INDIAN batsman to succeed in overseas conditions. He is down to earth and good student who does his home work this is what he can teach our New Age batsman decipline and this would be Good IDEA for INDIAN CRICKET.
Last but not least he is one of the most reverred cricketer in & outside INDIA so Stars like Dhoni & Kohli will listen to him

Finally something good came from your post..but I still feel results would have been same had Dravid been the Coach.

FYI, Dhoni is trying to build a team with most all rounders so that we will consistantly outside hence he was repeatedly working with same bowlers as he thinks they are the best right now.. if they fail few more times he will most certainly change the conbination
please sack this fletcher and appoint Sri Krishnamachari Srikant sir in his place.... Srikant sir wide range of knowledge and experience will help Indians in the long run
