now g smith is going to loos or drow one more series with australia in his home grounds. i think the reason for his retirement is his poor form with the bat. mr sewagh and gambheer should learn from him.

I think Majority Indian players should retire gracefully before they are shown the door.Player s like Shewag,Gambhir,Yuvraj, both Karthiks,Zahir, etc should learn from Smith .

Dear Grammee,
We shall miss a thorough gentlemen cricketer like you. You had set up many bench marks which cannot be surpassed.
When batsmen went after individual recordes, you went after building SA team... What a team.
At an young age of 33, you have chosen to retire. Its so sad and we shall miss to of the games greats: You & Kali. Hats off and wish the best of luck!

Grahm Smith - great cricketer presents a life's message
by Banibrata Saha on Mar 04, 2014 09:17 AM  | Hide replies

I always have been a great fan of Grahm Smith. The best thing i like is his supreme Confidence, very sure of himself, ready to take up the challenge, openning batsman- shows the way, never shy away from failure and ready to learn from mistakes.

Thats what a sportman needs to be.....

I would extend it further - we need to have the same set of positivity in our life. Ups and downs are always part of life - what needs to be there is being positive, confident, ascertive, sure about oneself including limitations and doables, not carried away by what people say and accept mistakes if logical, learn and move ahead......

Yeah!
You have been a great fan of Graeme Smith.
That is why you have earned the right to mis-spell his name.

Hi both of you Singh and Rajiv Gupta - represent a section of India who are narrow minded, literate but not educated. Its time we understand and appreciate human values.

Hi, It shows how shallow is our mindset. We are more worried of a proper noun rather than trying to comprehend the true meaning of my doc.
