Alastair Cook has technical problems as a left-hand opening batsman against good quality pace bowler who are good swingers of the ball. He can make huge scores against India, West Indies and New Zeland. He seems to falter against Australia and Sri Lanka or South Africa and Pakistan. He has tactical problems as a captain regarding field setting and bowling changes. Hence disastrous results follow for the English cricket team.
