they, the icc changed how the ratings are calculated, newer results have more weightage now, but the diff. between aus and sa is merely ~0.35 , sa is slated to play weaker teams ..and will definitely be back to numero uno status real soon

haha ..unfortunately for you, this is based off on facts , do some research of your own and get to know stuff..

i guess dhoni's luck ran out. everything went downhill for dhoni starting from our last tour to england.
my facts & stats are always correct. in the april 1 cutoff when sa was awarded the test mace, sa was at 127 and aus at 115, a good 12 pts behind. later this was recalibrated on may 1 to put both at 123 .

basically now with the recalibration..aus are on 3950 points from 32 games (this figure is from official icc page), now do some simple math..making their rating 3950/32 = 123.4375 (icc displays this as the nearest integer which is 123..)
for sa , 2831 from 23 games which is ~123.0870
subtract the figures and you get ~0.3505 or ~0.35 as i stated in my post.

and with the recalibration, the 2010-11, and 2011-12 points that sa was awesome in got just 50% weightage...only 2013-14 got 100% weightage, and aus benefitted from 5-0 ashes victory, plus, the points lost by aus in its 4-0 loss to india got halved ...

wait, rather 10-11 got dropped off, and 11-12 AND 12-13 got halved..in it aus lost 4-0 to us. ..so tabulating it, now aus is just ~0.35 above sa.

yes, it loses as many at home as they lose away...in fact nobody loses more at home than SA...

moving in circles are we? just how many times do you want me to present facts on these threads? :) the last time we had a sort of a debate on the subject of dhoni/smith/sa you were the one armed with incorrect facts and consequently abandoned the exchange hmm...

just because you dont have facts supporting your biasedness you are hiding behind what you call as facts

let me know when did dhoni last win a test away? (note: away is not one central location)

he made a mess of the basin reserve test, that which we could've won by an innings defeat at that!
