Dhonis ego hurting team balance
by alex on Jul 30, 2014 12:14 PM

(even if we won Lords test of life time heriocs of Ishant/Rahane) Dhonis attitude to favor his personal friends and neglecting Bhajji,Gambhir hurting team balance. Imagine team dont have specailist spinner on almost flat track .Track is abslote dont have prob after first session if a batsman has good TEST batting skills...But who will tell this to indian cricket supremo as his boss is his CSK,BCCI and ICC owner. So who will even speak ? The England team lost last 9 matches even from Srilanka, India (must ) should give them 4-0 easily if we have right balance in team. This ENG team is no where compared to team India.

Shame
by SURESH KUMAR C V on Jul 30, 2014 11:59 AM

It is shame that India has to depend on the tail to save it from defeat. In the previous tests also, the tail played vital roles and saved our face. It is pity that whoever came to bat when England was batting, they hit our bowlers all around while our batsmen are struggling (or rather call it gross indiscipline in batting as most of the wickets fell were of poor deliveries) Our players must learn how SA saved the last test against SL. Our bowlers are also lack consistency and discipline and they were bowling as if there was no target.... England somehow lost the previous test and in this one, we are hopping for the best (a draw )... Pity on our players who does not seem to have any objective to apply themselves to the cause of the team/nation

No India will this test match sure.
Surprise to know why selector choose ordinary bowlers. Though India have good genuine leg break & off break bowlers. They watch match seating in pavilion.

GAME PLAN
by Shilpa Mehta on Jul 30, 2014 11:46 AM

MSD with Shami & Pankaj should play carefully till lunch today & avoid follow on first .

Then after lunch MSD will change gears
to 20 - 20 mode keeping strike to himself & score quick 50 - 60 runs which not difficult for a player like MSD .
Even if India gets all out in this process with ENG leading around 150 runs , they need to score another 150 before declaring in second innings giving a target of 300 plus
on last day with only two sessions remaining .
Match can be easily drawn .
If ENG cannot win in their own backyard
it is as good as it has lost the game .
POOR ENGLAND .

Give Shock-treatment
by PADMANABHAN IK on Jul 30, 2014 11:12 AM

High time to give drop-shock treatment to Dhawan. Virat should concentrate more on cricket in the field than making the tour as a merry making one. Greatly disappointed by their consecutive non-performance.

India should lose

India should lose 3rd test. They don't deserve even a draw with useless guys like Dhavan, Pujara, Kohli & Rohit.

even if followon is avoided England will score around 150runs in quick time to set a Target of 400 with 4 sessions .Then India will have to bat responsibly on the last days' pitch ,it will be tough to do that

You don't understand or follow test cricket. Normally 1st innings takes longer than 2nd innings. Pitch deterioration, going for quick runs and pressure leads to quicker fall of wickets in 2nd innings. More likely Indian innings will fold up in the 1st hour of 4th day. Lead will be around 200 runs. Even if they can, England will not apply follow on to give their bowlers a rest. They will score quickly for 3-4 hours, take a lead of around 450 and give their bowlers a chance of about 7-8 hours to take 10 Indian wickets

Dont u follow much test cricket or wat? Tomorrow India can get out in 350 runs and then england with a lead of 200 can make 200 more and put India to bat for 115 overs at the very least. And 115 overs are enough on the make a team all out in the 4th innings..So the match is currently in Englands favour 70:30..However if india bat really well they can save this match..Less probability though but Seeing the tailender batting well there is some possiblility for a draw..
