Ishant Sharma has pace and if he continues to increase his pace, he will be a consistent match winner. Usless people like Venkatesh Prasad and Kapil Dev reduce the pace of their students and ruin their bowling. These types of coaches will be kicked out of their jobs in Pakistan, Australia or South Africa.

The most overrated bowler of all time. I dunno how he got selected in the indian cricket team..and the funniest part being ..his appointment as bowling coach..

You are correct in this regard. Venkatesh Prasad had no pace and ball control. Most of the times, he bowled the wrong length to any batsman. Steve Waugh and Saeed Anwar cashed on the useless Prasad to make big scores. In the Madras one day match, Anwar got 194 because Prasad set an off side field and bowled on the left hander's leg stump; the batsman whipped a lot of boundaries off his toes. Prasad was not a good coach as he reduced the natural pace of most bowlers under his tutelage. What a waste!

Kumar does not have pace, and will fail miserably on Australian tracks. Unless he generates more pace he will not serve India for long.

Without any credible performance he was in the Indian team for the past 5 years, now that he has taken 7 wickets in an innings his place is rest assured for another 5 years. So Ishants next match winning performance will be in 2019 !!!

not trying to take anything away from ishant but it wasnt exactly a great bowling performance , england played like robots to a pedestrian short ball that he generally gets hammered for , he bowled the exact same ball and england had no brains to play any better , bhuvaneshwars 6 for was a far more compelling 6 wicket haul the ishants 7

I guess he got a lot of support from the brits.Their batsman did not show any technique/temperament to play out the entire day.Ishant didnot generate any pace or guile to earn the wkts.He was just plain lucky. On the contrary the way Steyn bowled out the lankans was a true exhibition of smart fast bowling. What a spell of consistent, disciplined fast bowling by steyn...as a neutral this is what one expects in Test Cricket.

Robots?

Don't insult robots! They do as they are programmed to!

These English players "suddenly" started playing short pitched deliveries like immature school boys!

A majority of Ishant's deliveries were going nowhere near the stumps!

Simply avoiding and ducking them would have ensured a draw for England!

The way a team like England took the bait and literally handed India this victory raises huge questions about their "performance" on the 5th day of the match!
