Sourabh Ganguly or Dada could win overseas Test matches under pressure at Headingley or Trent Bridge. He set a new paradigm for India to perform well in Australia, England and South Africa. The likes of Sachin Tendulkar and Mohammad Azhuruddin could not handle high-pressure situations on difficult tracks, and were mere flat track bullies who could not plan and pace their innings and to win Test matches. They may be spectacular stroke players, but are absolutely nothing compared the great Dada in terms of tenacity.

India's main problem in overseas tours against quality bowling were Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag. They looked at themselves like Indra, Rajiv, Sonia and Rahul Gandhi, but never worked for the overall welfare of the team. Even average players like Murali Vijay, Ajinkya Rahane and Ravindra Jadeja are able to win matches because they grind the opposition by scoring at slow or moderate pace and take the Test match to the last day.
A fantastic away performance by the team built by dhoni...green top plan boomeranged on england...their first test flat pitch helped them get the draw they wanted...

You are absolutely correct. Dada set a new paradigm in Indian cricket. Until ten, India has never scored 600 to 700 runs in an innings in Australia, England or Pakistan.

ou are absolutely correct. Dada set a new paradigm in Indian cricket. Until then, India has never scored 600 to 700 runs in an innings in Australia, England or Pakistan. People like Tendulkar and azhar did not show the requisite tenacity to win top overseas Test matches.
