Survival on bouncy pitches
by dreambikes on Feb 08, 2014 12:01 PM

We have to find out a new pair of openers who can negotiate short-pitched deliveries. Ohterwise, it is going to be difficult for the Indian team to survive on bouncy pitches abroad!

Bowlers and Openers made it easy for Kiwi's.
One cant expects middle and lower order to perform all the time. its Openers who should be standing longer abit..be it a bit slow but dont loose wicket bcz once the platform is set. we have the players who can chase down 10 per over in last 10 to 15 overs.

They are waiting for IPL
by RAKESH DOGRA on Feb 01, 2014 10:06 AM

Indian team has given their worst ever performance. Now these so called stars would be bought in crores by IPL teams and all will be forgotten.I hate the system which put them as no.1 team in the world. They are in company with the likes of Zimbabay and Bangaladesh etc.

sachin critics still?
by raja on Feb 01, 2014 08:55 AM  | Hide replies

my point is that opening in odi is difficult and sachin did that remarkably well for so long. so where are the comments which degraded sachin b y saying that he opened in odi and scored runs because it is easy? again even if kohli scores runs we are loosing matches because others are not playing well so again does that make him uselss? common as time goes on you will realise the enormity of sachin contributions

no need to get hyped up...first the entire fast bowling line up (except shami) should be changed, then new batsmen should be introduced(from where?)..

i earnestly request BCCI to arrange a bilateral series with Bangladesh to have the self esteem back of the Indian Crickets superstars. i feel so pathetic that i have disconnected my TV. and the Indian team is resposible for this.

Be patient. After 2-3 years, there will be lot of Kohli critics here. We Indians are best in criticising others.

Remove the coach and talk strict with Dhoni
by abraham othara on Feb 01, 2014 05:55 AM  | Hide replies

I feel the coach is a slouch and has no command and control especially on the seniors in the team.
Better throw him and bring a no-nonsense person as coach. We can get plenty as we pay them well but lack in taking action swiftly when they fail.
World cup is round the corner and things have to start changing now if we were to even make to the semis in Australian and NZ conditions.
Dhoni should be given some hard talk and asked to be impartial in team selection and only take players who consistently perform be it be a Ashwin, Jadeja, Rohit, or anyone in the team.
He himself is a match winner any day but then cricket is a game in which all the eleven have to perform together.
Bring down their incentives when they do not perform consistently, prevent them from advt assignments(even though BCCI would never let it happen as they are the maximum beneficiaries)
Hope S. Patil and team does a sincere job in team selection without bowing to pressures.
All the best team India.
