batsman dhoni and captain dhoni are not same. Moreover, at the slot of no.6, there are better players in the world like abdevillers, maxwell, corey anderson(new find), pollock who can hit sixes at the flick of a six. We cannot compare ganguly and dhoni... then he also has to be compared with azhar who has not played to his potential... still he won more games than dhoni.....Credit to captain and debit to all when we lose will work only for dhoni which should be avoided

what is the problem of supporting ms dhoni? you compire assar and ms d both are good batsman.. devillers is a good batsman than dhoni. but he is the worst one day captain of SA he lost series to NZL in his home ground in 2012, lost PAK in 2013 MR devillers is going to loos against AUS in this year... you look at scoring of captain sachin and batsman sachin. look at scoring of captain ganguli and batsman ganguli I will give you an examble. INDIA toored NZL in 1998 and ganguli scored 60. 38. 0. 50. 60. total 208. average 41.6. and INDIA toored NZL in 2002 and captain ganguli scored 14 0. .. 4. ..2.....0..23.....15...=58.. 8.2...
NO captain in this world can achiv this. take a look at captain ganguli and DHONI. I meant INDIA toor of NZL 2002. and INDIA toor of AUS 2004. and look at the scoring of ganguli. and compire it with INDIA toor of AUS in 2007 and INDIA toorof NZL in 2008... and scoring of MS D....

how do you rate sachin who has scored centuries across globe??? hahahahhaha.. scoring centuries is a personal milestone which is not a good parameter to judge. dhoni is the best finisher in one day cricket today which no one will contradict. winning matches for team is important than persnal milestones

Dhoni has lots of issues with captaincy, leadership etc at the moment, but there is no denying that he is a good batsman, reliable and a consistent match winner.
Perhaps he is the best ever late middle order batsman India or World has ever produced. There aren't a whole lot of comparisons i can think of.
Because usually in that slot only wicket keepers or bowling allrounders bat.

hitting 40-45 runs in the death overs are done by all players in that slot, dhoni is not unusual.. The winning of india is not because of dhoni and it is purely due to the team construction which was the effort so many past captains

you go and look at the innings played by MS DHONI in australia in 2007-2008 [CB SERIES] go and watch innings played by MS dhoni inWI in 2013 [selcon cup final] WC final 2011. in 2006 INDIA toored SA MS DHONI was the highest run getter for INDIA, india toor of PAK 2006 MS DHONI was won the series for INDIA. and for your information MS DHONI is the captain of INDIA. there is a diffrents bitween scoring as a BATSMAN and scoring as A captain... you can take the examble of ganguli, dravid, and the great man SACHIN....

Gilly, Flower, Sangakarra used to or bat quite high in the order (within no 4). They don't come down at no.6 or no.7. Also they are considered specialist batsman in the team.
Dhoni technically doesn't tend to be counted as specialist batsman, but he comes out and saves people's backs when others mess it up.

boss gilly and sangakkara were openers and dhoni comes down the order. the former guys were building the innings and later has to finish the innings from bad situations. think about it..

can u imgaine how would these great bowlers be performing in todays situation where test, onedayer, 20-20 are played? those days there was lesser pressure to cope with maybe dhoni would have been more devasting with lesser pressure if he was playing in earlier generation. its absurd to compare between generations

MS D hard already faced like maggrath and murali. your best bowler hard played in the IPL 2007 you go and look at stat. of maggrath. what happent to your 2 best bowler muralii in 2011 final in india? your murali nevertakes the wicket of MS D... this maggrath and other useless bowlers are really lucky because if they played against players like MS D,devillers,kohli they will be crushed from the ground... if you have any critisism write it with using your commensens. this maggrath and other fast bowlers has not played against ms d is it a problem of msd?
