prasanna in his hey days would never come to bowl when the wicket was flat - and bad for a bowler. it was venkat who had to bowl in tough conditions. prasanna took all the wickets in spin frndly wickets and tail enders were mostly the victims. he cant bat even for 5 min nor can run nor can catch even a sitter!! better he keeps quiet.

paanai vayiRan prasanna. His belly had a suspension and he could barely run between wickets, do fielding and bat. If you count the runs we lost in the field dur to his field it will be even out his contributions.
Venkat was a multi-dimensional personality. He kept the batsmen under check with nagging line, fielded well and could bat decent.
No doubt Prasanna was streets ahead of any bowler we have now, but the ODI conditions today are very tough and he probably hasn't fully appreciated them. Bowlers are reduced to restricting the run flow and then the batsmen have to take major responsibility.
He places too much faith in Harbhajan, who has lost his skills now. If Pras had suggested Pervez Rasool,or MIshra it would have been a more constructive suggestion.

Right Prasanna you were n off spinner par excellence and you are absolutely right in criticizing Aswin. Even Dhoni his mentor criticized him in the last two odis. The records also show this. Aswin hasn't taken a single wicket since dec 8th till the last odi in which again Jadeja had a better bowling average. Clearly India has lost its no 1 positition courtesy Aswin and Ishant's flop shows.
Dhoni's position is worse than others. He has not won anything abroad except T20. He can't talk against Ashwin.if he speaks his chamchaas Jadeja,Raina,ishant,dawan will also be removed along with him. So dhobi paid money to EASP to write like this.
But unfortunately the time is over for Kumble and at the same moment bhajji's time is over. Bhajji without Kumble is useless. Ashwin should be dropped for sure but Ohja should be the replacement and not Kumble-Bhajji.

Shrekant said chck stats. WELL i dont have them but ashwin in 8-9 overseas tests has abou 5-6 wkts, while bhajjihas about 150 in 45 approx..so will waitfor judgement

yes bhajji took wicket in late 90's and stopped well before 2005. Also you are comparing bhajji with a bowler who is failing bad at the moment.

If Pras Bedi and Chandra would be playing today, they would have gone for 100 runs in their quota of 10 overs. Only Venky was suitable.It is Kannadigas biased on Tamil"s achievement. What is the achievement of Pras &Bedi against & in Windies & England. Pras wickets overseas were mostly in Australia/NZ ( Second Grade side). Both Bedi& Pras were worst fielders during their time.

if ashwin is in team because of srinivasan because of whom raina,jadeja,dhoni,dawan,rohit,ishant is in team ? Courtesy dee gaangg for fixxing matches ?!. Which bowler don't give more than 60 in abroad ? Ashwin is asked to bowl his overs when both batsmen is in form while Jadeja never bowls in death as well as given ball whenever wicket falls ,do you don't know ?

Because you chose to be idle and demand free food and have no workers who call pull your cart and toil your fields. You can be in a room so that your skin does not get tanned. BTW, most working kannadigas in the field look closer to tamils than kashmiris and are related to them.

Ashwin is not a representative of Tamil pride. He would not like that jingoism, neither would Murali who is the best off spinner who has played the game.
