Indian team in Newzeland
by Shridhar Iyer on Jan 24, 2014 03:02 PM

I think we should drop Shikar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, Ashwin, and Ishant. Though it may look like a lot of change, but worth it!.

System to be blamed
by Yoker on Jan 24, 2014 02:36 PM

Rather then blaming the players, the current system need to be blamed for the Indian teams recent performance

1) BCCI President owns a IPL team. Captain of his IPL team is the captain of team India.
2) A previous selector of team India, was brand ambassador of the same IPL team.
3) Many Players from the same IPL team are part of team India. They continue to be in the team inspite of continous poor performances.
4) Current selector has his son playing in domestic cricket. The son gets selected in team India ignoring other domestic players who have performed better then him.
5) Former cricketers turned commentrators are under lucarative contract of BCCI. Considering the lucarative contract they do not speak against the system inspite some of them during their playing days had raised voices against the same BCCI.

To sum it all amount of money involved in Indian cricket has corrupted the system

Revamp the Indian team
by Venicio Colaco on Jan 24, 2014 02:17 PM

Indian selectors should follow the path of the Australian selectors in dropping players irrespective of their status who do not perform at the highest level in International cricket.
A country of 4 million people in New Zealand produce such good players in cricket, rugby, cycling, rowing with high performance coaches setting a high benchmark for entry into the sport. India has a population of 1 billion and for us not to excel in a single sport is a shame

Hasn't picked up skills
by better thanyourx on Jan 24, 2014 01:57 PM

Any bowler who has been in international cricket for last 5-6 years and hasn't added a potent weapon like the yorker in his armoury, hasn't watched the videos of past masters Wasim & Waqar and picked up the skill is not good enough for international cricket and should have no place in the national side.
