He always has excuse for the losses. Instead he should go for players from India And not only CSK players.

All kinds of reasons
by Sudarshan Nityananda on Jan 23, 2014 05:09 PM

If they bowl fast you say we're not used to this, and if they bowl slow then its difficult to score !! Why can't we bowl slow then and restrict NZ to say 250 ? They are simply clobbering us all over and Ishant was looking really scared when bowling to Anderson.

LAME EXCUSES
by sampath mohapatra on Jan 23, 2014 11:42 AM

Its high time the captain stopped giving excuses and started performing on the field. He has persisted with players who are no good. Dhoni is not a captain rather a politician. Quite clearly we need a change in players as well as captain. But Dhoni has made sure that all captaincy contenders are no longer in the team.

frankly i dont like this new idea of playing 5 batsmen and 5 bowlers..in the past the 6 batsman and 4 bowlers (with part timers bowling remaining 10 overs) was successful and i think that should be tried again...

Wake Up Call?
by Straight Drive on Jan 22, 2014 10:38 PM

After the defeat in test series and ODIs against South Africa, Indian team has started their tour of New Zealand with two consecutive defeats in the ODIs and have lost their top slot in the ICC ranking to Australia.

Surprisingly the team management has not learnt anything and has shown immense reluctance in changing the players and giving others a chance to prove their worth. Dhoni has his bias towards some players and continue to include them in the playing eleven irrespective of their performances.

What has Ashwin done so far in the last 5 ODIs played overseas (3 in South Africa and 2 against New Zealand)recently? Does he deserve a place in the playing eleven?

Ravindra Jadeja's continuous inclusion and constant failures are certainly a worry for the team but he still gets a chance in the playing eleven. Why?

Ishant Sharma is bowling like a novice yet finds a place in the playing eleven. Why?

We have other players who are selected and are sitting in the dressing room as mere spectators. Why aren't they given a chance by Dhoni? What is he waiting for?

If he doesn't want to change the plying eleven, I guess it is time to change him with someone else.
