Be objective and logical
by hari ray on Jan 22, 2014 10:49 PM

Why India respect Vishy Anand? Why Dhanush's song became so popular all over India? Doesn't that prove here is no bias.

Unfortunately, when we speak against your non performing cricketers, super corrupt politicians, you make it us vs. them.

Most of you don't speak in logical terms. India means all India. If you want to remain in your cocoon, voice your opinion in regional website.

Badri = Hussy!!!!
by hari ray on Jan 22, 2014 10:31 PM  | Hide replies

Some one wrote below that Badri = Hussy. Let me add

Balaji = McGrath
Mukund = Richards
Anirudh = Sobers

But such stalwarts could not defeat lowly Bengal in Ranji. In fact they were allout scoring 180 and made glorious exit from Ranji. Where as Karnataka is going to play final.

No 1 status
by sivanandam lakshmanan on Jan 22, 2014 09:36 PM

It was achieved by playing with lowly placed countries like windies & matches fixed with aussie players by bartering ipl places & that too in Indian flat pitches.
The same applies to No 1 status in Tests also which we have seen in Australia,SA & England tours where we lost both one day & tests in a white wash manner.
So no need to worry,bcci will fix the NZ tour by offering their players IPL places or arrange matches with bangladesh,kenya,Ireland,Zimbabwe,Srilanka in India & we will regain no 1 status in Tests & one soon.

when Sanddep Patil Chairman of selectors & Bombay quoto is there for him he will surely get it in next match by hitting a century.
He is highly strong in Technique against moving,raising deliveries like raina,yuvi,Dhoni,Jadeja,Dawan.

what has Ashwin done to secure a place in the tea, Looking at his performance over the lat 8-9 months he should be thrown out of the team. Why different measures for different people(b)hajji was thrown out for his inconsistent performance

It will happen, if he continues like this, he will be dropped soon. BTW, there are no different measures for different people. Bhajji was also given a long rope before the axe...

I agree with you that Bhajji was also given a long rope, but seems that Ashwin share a good rapport with Dhoni(hence his place in the team)

In Dhoni's team, the fist name written is Ishant, even before MSD's own name. Live with it.

Bring Badrinath
by hari ray on Jan 22, 2014 08:30 PM  | Hide replies

Some one from TN suggested to bring Badri. Given the TN dominance in board, we can also bring Mukund, Anirudh Srikant, Balaji, Badani ... and why not all of them?

That is the problem of India. We love our country but we love our state more.

P.S. Badri and company in Chennai could not score 182 and lost to a ragtag side called Bengal. And those bunch of nincompoops will play in NZ? Give me a break!!!

I don't like non performers and unfortunately you guys produce lot of them and clamour for selecting them. Can I say a word against Kohli or VVS or Dravid? No. Because they perform. Right from Bharat Reddy, your state players never cement their place. And we all adore Vishy Anand. Why? He has been a performer. It is that simple. There is no race or cast bias. Then Dhanush's song would not have been so popular all over India.

Badri is called Mr.Cricket of India like Mike Hussey. Then why he is not in team ?
Vijay is highly recommended by DADA (Ganguly) for opener. Why he is not in team when miserables (can't play rising deliveries)like Jadeja,Dhoni,Rohit,Rahane,Dawan is in all forms ?

Al tamils are up in arms!

1. Badri is Hussy? What a joke!! TN cannot defeat Bengal in Ranji. Look at Badri's stats ... Ashwin cannot tak a single wicket, Jadeja, Raina all are in team because of Srini.

We love south Indianswho perform fro Dravid, Kumble, Srinath, VVS .... unfortunately one state does not produce good players but get seleted

Too many suggestions: means too many issues
by desi twist on Jan 22, 2014 08:10 PM  | Hide replies

Looking at this discussion board, there are way too many suggestions. The hate list includes Ishant, Ashwin, Rohit, Dhawan, and to some extent Jadeja, Raina and MSD. That is basically 7 out of 11 players.
Given that, I suspect whatever changes are done, the team wont win.
the best way to turn around this team may be to not watch it at all. Once the sense of self importance goes down, the BCCI may actually do something to improve the talent level.

It is not hate list.It is their incompetence against rising/swinging deliveries.

True. When I said hate list, I just mean that many folks wnated these people dropped...
Of course, real reason is incompetence in batting against short deliveries. Lesser be said abt bowling, the better
