U R Absolutely Right Bedi Sir
by rajamahanti das on Jan 23, 2014 09:39 AM

Yes Sir u r absolutely right. no one has enjoyed so much power as dhoni. and yes some players are in the team because they play for Chennai Super Kings. And yes few people dont know how to use power and misuse it. A good leader favours none and develops a harmony in the dressing room. and also does not force someone to retire.

An Eye Opener?
by Straight Drive on Jan 22, 2014 10:29 PM  | Hide replies

After the defeat in test series and ODIs against South Africa, Indian team has started their tour of New Zealand with two consecutive defeats in the ODIs and have lost their top slot in the ICC ranking to Australia.

Surprisingly the team management has not learnt anything and has shown immense reluctance in changing the players and giving others a chance to prove their worth. Dhoni has his bias towards some players and continue to include them in the playing eleven irrespective of their performances.

What has Ashwin done so far in the last 5 ODIs played overseas (3 in South Africa and 2 against New Zealand)recently? Does he deserve a place in the playing eleven?

Ravindra Jadeja's continuous inclusion and constant failures are certainly a worry for the team but he still gets a chance in the playing eleven. Why?

Ishant Sharma is bowling like a novice yet finds a place in the playing eleven. Why?

We have other players who are selected and are sitting in the dressing room as mere spectators. Why aren't they given a chance by Dhoni? What is he waiting for?

If he doesn't want to change the plying eleven, I guess it is time to change him with someone else.

just as BCCI prez runs BCCI, MSD run team india. ALl those who are close to him are in the playing XI even if they don't perform (read ashwin, jaddu & raina) Why is rayadu still not playing any game yet? Ishant can also make way for some other bowler. come on MSD its high time yaar make some changes in the XI so that we start winning again. Let not stick to the old XI & go on losing all matches in NZ as well.

In response to your 'Whys' the reason is these guys are close to Dhoni, and that is why they are picked to play over and over again, irrespective of their lack of performance.

I agree with your comment about changing Dhoni. It may be the right time to chop off the head to cure the headache.

The problem with us all is that the moment Dhoni wins the next ODI we will start singing his praises ......

we can't be delighted to see our team loose, however,it is all making of their own.You get top ranking by manipulating matches in domestic conditions by money power at the disposal of Board & then suffer such defeats against lowly ranked team & give excuses during media meet.

For you to say 'this useless bedi' just shows how much you know about cricket!! Read cricketing history and you will learn about the worth of Bishen Singh Bedi. It is because of the efforts of Sunil Gavaskar and Bishen Singh Bedi that today's cricketers earn crores. Otherwise they would still be earning the paltry Rs. 250 per test - as in those days!

Just because someone loses an election does not make one 'useless'. This just proves that the entrenched corrupt politicians have won again!!

by iamindian on Jan 22, 2014 04:52 PM  | Hide replies

Mr.Srini makes cricket India team to his Chennai team and doing so many wrong things. Still he is in the power because of Mr.Rajeev Shukla and BJP's Arun Jethly. Both of them are from opponent side but when money comes who bothered the countries pride.

Well, Srinivasan is certainly responsible to bring the downfall in Indian cricket. And Dhoni has certainly taken things for granted that has resulted in failues in the recent past.
