India cricket has paid the price to idolize an individual
by pradeep agarwal on Jan 03, 2014 06:32 PM  | Hide replies

This is what happens when cricket crazy nation allowed the interest of national team being hizacked to reward an individual who was dragging his position in team for three years & wanted an easy farewell.the team was left with no time to prepare for a tough series & fans missed out on an extended contest to satisfy the wish of an individual who was made bigger than the game unfortunately by shameless BCCI

Sachin Played ODIs too? BCCI was very cunning to cut short the SA Tour in the name of sachin. As usual the responsibility of all the debacles on sachin even when he is not in laying XI.

Where was he during ODIs of SA-Pak
by desi twist on Jan 03, 2014 06:20 PM

where again the pitches were easy!!
Always everybody seems to have problems when India plays. Incidentally next time India tours anywhere, they must request seaming pitches, bcos ironically, it seems to help their cause better.

Boycott loose talks
by Suresh Jey Ram on Jan 03, 2014 05:51 PM  | Hide replies

He seems to talk something against India always. Remember Dale Steyn commented that it was not Mumbai pitch that India were going to play. The pitches were bouncy and some weak players like Dhawan and Rohit and Murali Vijay had not performed well. Geffry needs something to munch about. Age has not matured him.

I still feel that if the Wanderers had continued to be nasty all throughout, India may have won the first match. A bouncy or seaming pitch ironically suits Indian bowlers better, as they do not have much pace to perform on flat pitches!!

He seem to be right

Its not that I am a fan of Boycott. But he seem to be right. BCCI / Srinivasan are so powerful in the world with their money power and doing a lot of manipulations. I only pity our great stars of the past legendary Bedi, Pras, Chandra, GRV who really strived well abroad with quality cricket while these young guys are enjoying courtesy BCCI than their own merits. This is really setting a bad taste about us worldwide.

I am a little confused here. If they are so powerful, they should be able to fix results too, isnt it? 2-0 and 1-0 defeats hardly seem to suggest that!!

What else explains SA going for draw when all they needed was singles on every ball in first test.
