7/8 Players from Karnataka
by hari ray on Jan 02, 2014 09:49 PM

It was when Gundappa Viswanath was chairman of selctors, 8 people from Karnataka got selected. One of them was Sujith Somesundar whose girth was as big as Namitha! He played 2 ODIs and scored 7 and 9.

Stuart Binny got selected only and only because Roger Binny is a selector. Next in line is Brijesh's Patel's son. Let Papa be a selector first.

Pitty to note that only one guy got call into national team(except Binny for NZ ODI) despite showing consistency in performance. one time Karnataka use to have 7-8 players representing india, now it's all lost glory :(

abhimanue mithun, robin uthappam aND vinay kumar were too many chances but they could not take advantage, it is their fault...they are many talented players from other states who do not get a single chance..what about them.?

A.Mithun bowled splendidly in his debut against Sri Lanka few years back, on a flat pitch he had done better than the many, but was taken off when injured Ishanth and Zaheer came back and Mithun was called back after many years gap for one dayers only, why recently Ooja was not given chance to tour NZ, Why D.Karthik not given chance instead of A.Rayadu and V.saha? how and why jadeja and Raina get chances again and again?

You Mr.VenugopalnI(Tamil fellow), only because of Srinivasan and to some extent Dhoni your state is getting more and more players in the national team. Tell me how many chances Murali Vijay has got compared to Uttappa OR Ashwin compared to Mithun.

Rediff did not mention Score of Gujarat or winning margin for Mumbai ANYWHERE in this news.
Scores for other matches are mentioned but main title information missed. What a journalism ! ! !
