Art of writing love letters!
by Kabeer on Feb 27, 2014 01:52 PM  | Hide replies

Pre mobile and email days surely were a drawback but that discomfort also brought the bright art part out in oneself.

Writing love letters is a wonderful form of expression and about oneself.

But the most annoying part is all these tender emotions start taking place when you are in teens and in your early twenties; you have all those wonderful nuanced feelings but at the same time being young you don't have the right forms of written expressions that match your feelings in an exact manner. You are torn internally and you also tear enough stationery on which you write as none reflects the exact feelings.

In my teens and early twenties, university library was the most helpful one where hundreds of collections of letters in English literature written between lovers, mostly the long lasting ones spreading over decades, some legitimate relationships and some not so legitimate.

Since those were written by English speaking people and that too by knowledgeable matured men and women, the expressions were wonderful and exact.

I used to study them and copy some of those expressions to express myself in my letters. It was quite a hit and worth the effort and hours spent in library reading those not related to my subject.

Soon I was a rage, and I used to help friends by ghost writing for them.

Irrespective the quantum of precaution you take, somewhere your own self is reveals in a subtle manner and girls are more sensitive to find this out.

There were moments of blushes!
